Our Musical Style
Madalena primarily performs in a duo with a Brazilian guitarist but also works with other musicians in a trio and quartet for larger venues.
Madelena sings elegant and sophisticated Bossa Nova from Brazil - transporting you to the beaches of Rio in the early 1960s. The driving rhythmic jazz chords on the nylon string guitar balance the sensual vocal melodies. The movement of the samba rhythms are reminiscent of the waves lapping on Copacabana beach.
